ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Free For Spectators. CAPA is excited to offer free entry for spectators who would like to come and support their friends and family! To enter, please ensure you sign a waiver at the entrance of the club.
TTC Newport Club Regulations. Only service animals are permitted inside the club. Please refrain from bringing outside food into the venue. No pickleball play is allowed before 7:30am.
Parking Guidelines. Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes early for check-in and parking. Park in the designated TTC parking lot (not the Irvine Company parking lot, car may be towed for violations). If the TTC lot is full, please park at Fashion Island Shopping Mall, 401 Newport Center Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92660.

Action Required For Highlighted Names. Please zelle your registration fee to capickleballassociation@gmail.com and email us your full name, DUPR email, DUPR ID, DUPR rating, age, and division if your name is highlighted in yellow. Please follow the steps below if your name is highlighted in purple.

CAPA California Championship will be the most competitive and highest payout CAPA tournament in 2024! Where the best players come play for the CAPA California Championship title.

Medalists in 3.0-5.0 divisions and quarter finalists of open doubles divisions in our CAPA 2024 championship qualifier tournaments will receive a ‘Championship Pass’ to pre register for the CAPA California Championship 2024.

CAPA Palm Springs Championship 11/9-11

Each participant will receive our exclusive Black CAPA California Championship Hoodie and one month free membership at TTC Newport. Each Gold medalists will receive the ‘CAPA California Champion’ trophy and $50 CRBN merchandize. Total prize money of $12,000! 40+ Open Doubles, Mixed Open Doubles, Women’s Open Doubles and Men’s Open Doubles prize money will be $2500 each, Open Singles prize money will be $1200 and Junior Open prize money will be $800. This tournament is for the best players in California!

Men's, Women’s & Mixed Doubles: $80 per person per event/$160 per team
Men’s & Women’s Singles: $80 per person
Junior Open Doubles: $110 per person per event/$220 per team
Open Singles: $130 per person
40+ Open Doubles: $130 per person/$260 per team
Mixed Open Doubles: $130 per person/$260 per team
Women’s Open Doubles: $130 per person/$260 per team
Men’s Open Doubles: $130 per person/$260 per team

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

Enter As A Team: Enter both players’ information during checkout. Both players must register and pay before the deadline.
Payment Options: If online registration shows your division is full or if you do not have PayPal, use Zelle to capickleballassociation@gmail.com. Include your full name, email, and division in the notes.
Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email and your team will be added to the ‘Player List’. A welcoming email will be sent within a week after the registration deadline.
Refund Policy: Withdrawals before the deadline will be refunded one week after, with a $4 PayPal processing fee per transaction. No refunds or credits for cancellations after the registration deadline for any reason. In case of weather-related stoppages, matches will be rescheduled or credits issued.
Registration Changes: Email us before the deadline for any changes. No changes allowed after the deadline.
1 Month Free Membership TTC Newport Beach: By registering for the CAPA Tournament held on December 13-15, 2024 at TTC Newport Beach, you have been granted and have accepted membership at TTC Newport Beach, effective from December 13, 2024, to January 13, 2025.
During this period, you are not obligated to pay any additional fees to TTC Newport Beach, nor are you required to maintain a credit card on file with your member account.
Should you wish to extend your membership beyond the initial term, past January 12, 2025, you may inquire about membership offerings for a longer duration.
Your membership from December 13, 2024, to January 13, 2025, grants you access to the club facilities during normal business hours. However, court play time is restricted to the hours of 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Sunday, unless you are competing in a Tournament, according to the terms of your membership.
You may bring a guest at no additional charge during these hours, 11am-4pm, but the same guest may only visit twice before a guest fee is required.
This membership will automatically terminate on January 12, 2025.
By accepting this membership, you agree to adhere to all club rules and regulations. TTC Newport Beach reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, without having to provide a reason nor any prior written notice, and without any obligation to refund or owe any monies to either party.

TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS

Official Ball: Franklin X-40 yellow
Tournament Rules: USAPA 2024 pickleball rules apply. Only USAPA-approved paddles are permitted. Net serves are in continuous play.
Age Compliance: Both partners must be above 35+ to join 35+ division. A team with one player under 35 cannot join the 35+ division.
Rating Compliance: Register according to your DUPR rating. Players can play above their rating but not below.
DUPR Rating Requirement:
3.0 divisions: DUPR rating 3.49 or below
3.5 divisions: DUPR rating 3.99 or below
4.0 divisions: DUPR rating 4.49 or below
4.5 divisions: DUPR rating 4.99 or below
5.0 divisions: DUPR rating 5.49 or below
Open divisions: DUPR rating 4.0 and above
Note: If a player does not have a rating (NR) or the rating is provisional (*), with 10 or fewer games recorded, the player can join any divisions.
Disqualification: Registering in a lower division than your rating may result in disqualification.

DUPR

Score Recording: All matches will be recorded to DUPR, including all open divisions. Results will be uploaded within 2 weeks after the tournament.
DUPR Account: Every player needs a DUPR account for registration.
