CAPA SUMMER OPEN 2022

CAPA Summer Open will feature 18 different divisions, including 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 age 8+ and 40+ in Men’s Doubles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles. The tournament is also featuring two new divisions, Junior Coed Doubles (age 16 and under) and Open Coed Doubles (4.5+ with Prize Money).

The tournament will be held at Oak Avenue Intermediate School on Saturday, August 13rd and Sunday, August 14th. With 12 pickleball courts, participants will be playing matches in Round Robin format within 3 hours period. Registration fee will be $45 per person per event.

Our first open coed doubles division will be awarded with prize money. Men’s, Women’s and Mixed teams are all competing in the same bracket. You can play with the same partner you played with earlier in the tournament, or someone new, in any gender or age.

Prize money for Gold Medalist Team will be $600, Silver $480 and Bronze $360. Registration will be $75 per person per team. Minimum 10 teams to be awarded with prize money.

All participants can earn our first edition of CAPA White Dri-fit T-shirt. There will be raffle prizes and medals awarded to the top three winners in each division. Free snacks and drinks will be provided during the tournament.

Please enter your partners name on ‘Additional Information’ when you check out, and have both you and your partner registered and pay before deadline.

Refund- If you withdraw before Jul 31st, full amount will be refunded to your credit card. No refund will be given on cancellations after Jul 31st.

Enter as a team. Both partners have to be above 40+ to join 40+ division and both partners have to be under 16 years old to join Junior Division. If I am 39 and my partner is 41, my partner and I can only join 8+, not 50+.

RULES

Dura Fast 40 balls will be used. USAPA 2022 pickleball rules will be applied. Only USAPA approved paddles can be in use. Net serve is continuous play. Drop serve and spin off one hand are allowed. Receivers have to call OUT calls clearly and loudly in game.
