CAPA OC Pickleball Open
CAPA OC Pickleball Open 2023 will be our first DUPR sanctioned event, all matches will be recorded to player’s DUPR rating. Tournament will be held at Fountain Valley Pickleball Center on Saturday and Sunday, February 18th & 19th, 2023. With 20 dedicated pickleball courts, participants will be playing matches in Round Robin format within a 3 hours period. Each participant will receive a free CAPA Dri-fit T-shirt, raffle prize tickets , complimentary snacks and drinks during the tournament. Top 3 finishers will receive customized medals and gold medalist team in each division will receive $50 cash coupons from The Pickleball Exchange.

Please enter your partner’s name on ‘Additional Information’ when you check out, and have both you and your partner register and pay before the deadline.

Refund- If you withdraw before Jan 31st, the full amount will be refunded to your credit card. No refund will be given on cancellations after Jan 31st. No refund due to weather conditions.

REGISTRATION:
Both participants are age 16 or younger. Teams can be formed in Men’s, Women’s or Mixed.
Both participants are age 60 and over. Teams can be formed in Men’s, Women’s or Mixed.
Teams can be formed in Men’s, Women’s or Mixed. Prize Money: Gold $700, Silver $400, Bronze $300. Minimum 10 teams to be awarded with prize money.

DIVISIONS - ROUND ROBIN FORMAT
Men's, Women’s & Mixed Doubles (Skill: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, Age: 8+, 40+)
Junior Doubles (Age 16 and under)
Senior Doubles (Age 60 and over)
Open Doubles (4.5+ with $1.4K Prize Money)
Enter as a team. Both partners have to be above 40+ to join 40+ division and both partners have to be under 16 years old to join the Junior Division. If I am 39 and my partner is 41, my partner and I can only join 8+, not 40+.
Please register the corresponding level as your DUPR rating. Participants can play above their rating, but not below. If a player has a 3.49 or below rating, the player can join any divisions of 3.0 and above. If a player has a 3.50 or higher rating, the player can only join divisions of 3.5 and above.

RULES
Franklin X-40 yellow will be used. USAPA 2023 pickleball rules will be applied. Only USAPA approved paddles can be in use. Net serve is continuous play. Receivers have to call OUT calls clearly and loudly in game.
